Surge in Remittances Reflects Overseas Pakistanis’ Confidence in Govt’ Policies: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed gratitude to overseas Pakistanis for sending record remittances amounting to 3.6 billion dollars in December 2025, compared to the previous year.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted that the 16.5 percent increase in remittances over the same period last year reflects the strong confidence of overseas Pakistanis in the government's policies. He emphasized that by rejecting propaganda and continuing to send remittances for the country's construction and development, overseas Pakistanis have demonstrated their commitment to their homeland.

Shehbaz Sharif declared overseas Pakistanis as the nation's valuable asset and stated that both he and the entire nation take pride in them. He also reiterated that initiatives for the welfare and well-being of overseas Pakistanis remain among the government's top priorities.
