Islamabad: Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, emphasized the importance of strong ethical values in conjunction with professional skills for the development of human capital in Pakistan. He highlighted this during his address at the convocation of Riphah International University in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, Sardar Yousaf underscored the need for university programs to transcend local issues in the current globalized world. He took the opportunity to congratulate over one hundred Palestinian students who have successfully earned degrees from Pakistani universities through exchange programs.
Sardar Yousaf reiterated that education and research are crucial drivers of development and global influence. He pointed out that the government alone cannot fulfill all the higher education requirements, urging the private sector to play a significant role in this domain.
The Minister also stressed that universities should prioritize not only higher education but also the character development of the younger generation, promoting strong ethical values.
