Special Anti-Polio Vaccination Campaign Launches in Balochistan

Islamabad: In Balochistan, a special anti-polio vaccination campaign will begin tomorrow in sixty-two high-risk union councils across thirteen districts. During the campaign, more than two hundred thousand children under the age of five will be administered polio drops to protect them against the crippling disease.

According to Radio Pakistan, this initiative is part of a broader effort to eradicate polio from the region, targeting areas identified as having a higher risk of polio transmission. The health authorities are intensifying their efforts to ensure that every child in these vulnerable areas receives the vaccine, thereby reducing the chances of polio outbreaks.

The campaign involves mobilizing healthcare workers and volunteers who will go door-to-door to administer the vaccine. This strategy aims to reach every household, ensuring that no child is left unvaccinated in the targeted districts. The health department has urged parents to cooperate with the vaccination teams and ensure their children receive the polio drops.
