Solution of Kashmir Dispute Lies in UNSC’s Resolutions: PM

Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has firmly stated that any front India chooses to open will be met with an unforgettable response from Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, addressing the special session of the AJK Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad, Prime Minister Sharif mentioned that India is fomenting terrorism in Pakistan through its proxies after facing a humiliating defeat from the Pakistani armed forces in Marka-e-Haq. He made it clear that the Indian proxies will meet the same fate as the Indian aircraft in Marka-e-Haq. He emphasized that peace in the region is contingent upon India abandoning its aggressive, expansionist, and hegemonic designs.

Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan's desire for peace, stating that it must be established on the basis of equality and justice. Under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Pakistani armed forces delivered a decisive defeat to India, a defeat that will be remembered by future generations, according to the Prime Minister. He also highlighted that Pakistan's triumph in Marka-e-Haq is a victory for the Kashmir cause and a testament to the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people.

Paying tribute to the sacrifices of the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Sharif recalled that founding father Quaid-e-Azam had declared Kashmir the jugular vein of Pakistan. He pointed out that history serves as evidence of the Kashmiris' unwavering commitment to their freedom, which serves as a powerful reminder to the international community that Kashmir has never been and will never be a part of India.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that a durable solution to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute lies in the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions. He reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering support for the Kashmir cause.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister expressed his commitment to the development of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, stating that improving education, health, and other infrastructure in AJK is a government priority. He announced the establishment of Daanish Schools in AJK and the future establishment of a Daanish University campus in Muzaffarabad.
