Ottawa: Six Pakistani-Canadian candidates, including two women, have successfully won seats in Canada’s 2025 federal election, all representing the Liberal Party of Canada.

According to Radio Pakistan, the victorious candidates are Salma Zahid from Don Valley East, Scarborough; Iqra Khalid from Erin Mills, Mississauga; Shafqat Ali from Brampton-Chinguacousy Park; Yasir Naqvi from Ottawa Centre; Sameer Zuberi from Pierrefonds – Dollard – Quebec; and Aslam Rana from Hamilton Centre. This group includes five returning Members of Parliament and one new MP, demonstrating the increasing political influence of Pakistani-Canadians and the broad appeal of the Liberal Party’s platform.
