Significant Increase in IT Services Exports Due to SIFC’s Support


Karachi: There is significant increase in IT services exports due to the support of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).



According to Radio Pakistan, IT services exports have seen a six percent increase, earning 5.4 billion dollars in foreign exchange over the past eight months. This rise underscores the positive impact of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the country’s technological footprint on the global stage.



Exports of IT, computer, and telecom services increased by twenty-five percent, reaching 2.4 billion dollars. This substantial growth reflects the sector’s robust performance and the increasing global demand for technology-driven solutions from Pakistan.



There is a growing demand for Pakistani IT services in the global market, providing new opportunities for freelancers and startups. This expansion not only enhances the country’s economic prospects but also encourages innovation and entrepreneurship within the technology sector.



The government has set an IT export target of fifteen billion dollars over the next five years and recent growth has paved the way to achieve this goal. With continued support and strategic planning, the IT sector is poised to become a cornerstone of the national economy.
