Sialkot: Project Director of the Sports Industries Development Centre (SIDC) Sialkot, Engineer Muhammad Hanif Sarwar, has announced that SIDC is a financially sustainable Common Facility Centre for SMEs in Sialkot, significantly contributing to the modernization of Pakistan's sports industry.
According to Radio Pakistan, in an exclusive interview with Correspondent Qasim Bukhari, Engineer Hanif revealed that SIDC has brought in 122.5 million US dollars to the national economy. This includes an impressive 91.2 million dollars from export contributions and an additional 31.3 million dollars saved through import substitution.
The SIDC, under Hanif's leadership, has successfully trained over 2,650 skilled workers, thereby providing the sports industry with a workforce capable of meeting the demands of modern manufacturing. This initiative is seen as a crucial step in ensuring that the industry remains competitive on a global scale.
SIDC's diverse product range includes thermo footballs, basketballs, volleyballs, handballs, American balls, bladders, tennis balls, squash balls, cricket tape balls, and paddle balls. These products highlight the center's commitment to innovation and quality.
Engineer Muhammad Hanif Sarwar emphasized that SIDC will persist in its efforts to support innovation, quality enhancement, and skill development, aiming to further strengthen Pakistan's sports industry on the international stage.
