Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the firing incident on a police mobile van in district Karak. In a statement, he expressed his regret on the martyrdom of five police personnel in the incident.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif prayed that may Allah Almighty elevate the ranks of the martyrs. He also expressed condolences with their bereaved families. The Prime Minister, appreciating the police force, said the police always played a leading role in the war against terrorism. He said the entire nation offers salutes to the martyrs.

The Prime Minister said the government is fully committed to stamp out all types of terrorism from the country.
