Shehbaz Sharif Congratulates New CPNE Leadership

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated the newly elected office bearers of the Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE). In a message, he extended his best wishes to President Kazim Khan, Secretary General Ghulam Nabi Chandio, Senior Vice President Ayaz Khan, and other office bearers.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar also congratulated the new CPNE leadership. In his statement, he congratulated President CPNE Kazim Khan, Secretary General Ghulam Nabi Chandio, Senior Vice President Ayaz Khan, Vice Presidents Shakeel Ahmed Turabi and Anwar Sajidi, Secretary Information Munazza Saham, and other office bearers, wishing them success in their tenure.

Attaullah Tarar emphasized the role of journalism as a fundamental pillar of a democratic society, noting that responsible journalism plays a crucial role in raising social awareness. He expressed optimism that the new leadership will address challenges faced by the media industry and work towards strengthening journalistic institutions.

The Minister assured that the government will maintain cooperation with the media to promote responsible journalism. He highlighted the importance of fostering harmony between media and state institutions for the national interest.
