Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik says several countries are keenly interested to invest in Pakistan’s agriculture, information technology, energy and mining sectors.
Talking to a private television channel, he said Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and China have already expressed their desire to explore business opportunities in Pakistan.
The Minister of State said the UAE has a plan to see investment opportunities in Pakistan’s agriculture, mining and information technology fields, while China is taking a keen interest in energy and other sectors.
He said Saudi Arabia is also ready to provide billions of dollars in funds for investment purposes.
Musadik Malik said the government has already imported Russian oil to meet its growing demand in the country, while agreements have also been made with Azerbaijan in the gas sector.
