Separate Immigration Counters to Enhance Tourism and Trade at International Airports

Islamabad: The government has announced plans to establish separate immigration counters specifically for foreign passengers at all international airports across the country. This initiative has been set in motion under the guidance of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. It aims to boost tourism, ensure the continuity of trade activities, and make the process smoother for foreign investment in Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the establishment of these dedicated counters is expected to significantly reduce the immigration processing time at airports. This move will not only facilitate foreign passengers but also benefit returning Pakistani citizens, allowing them to complete their immigration procedures more swiftly. The decision is part of a broader government strategy to make Pakistan more attractive and welcoming for international tourists, investors, and business delegations.
