Islamabad: The Senate on Monday continued discussion on the budget for next financial year. Participating in the debate, Ali Zafar called for political stability to help strengthen the country’s economy.
According to Radio Pakistan, Khalil Tahir Sandhu said the government had provided maximum possible relief to the public in the budget. Syed Masroor Ahsan called for prioritizing the water sector. Muhammad Faisal Vawda proposed that steps should be taken for the welfare of the farmers.
Dost Muhammad Khan proposed to enhance budget for merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Bushra Anjum Butt proposed taking solid steps to boost the industrial sector. Saifullah Abro called for early completion of road infrastructure projects to improve connectivity.
Abdul Wasay suggested enhancing the country’s production capacity. He also emphasized the need to pay special attention to the development of Balochistan. The House will now meet again tomorrow at 11 in the morning.
