SEHR Programme Launched to Empower Women Economically: CM Punjab

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has extended best wishes and prayers for the success of the women who have completed training under the "SEHR" programme. In a statement today, she said the "Skill Enhancement through Home Reach" (SEHR) programme has been launched to provide women with better opportunities for development and economic empowerment.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister emphasized that the purpose of providing vocational training to women at their doorstep is to promote gender equality and increase women's participation in the skilled labour force. The SEHR programme aims to equip women across Punjab with skill-based training from the comfort of their homes, tailored to meet market needs.

The programme, with a budget exceeding 970 million rupees, will enable 5,365 women from remote, semi-urban, and urban areas to receive training in beautification services, hospitality, and digital technology.
