Islamabad: Security officials have emphasized that the fight against terrorism in Pakistan is not solely the responsibility of the armed forces, police, or Frontier Corps, but needs unity of the entire nation.
According to Radio Pakistan, in a meeting with media representatives, security officials stated that eliminating Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan requires complete national cohesion. They added that success in the fight against terrorism depends on the full implementation of the National Action Plan.
The security officials accused India of being behind all sponsored terrorism inside Pakistan. They noted that the recent attack on the Imambargah in Tarlai was carried out by terrorists trained in Afghanistan.
Security officials stressed that political, religious, or ideological differences should not divide the nation, and that all citizens must forge unity against terrorism. They highlighted that Fitna-al-Hindustan is an enemy of the Baloch people and the development of Balochistan.
They revealed that fifteen to twenty million liters of Iranian petrol and diesel had been smuggled three years ago, which has now been stopped. The funds collected from smuggling were used for terrorist activities.
Security officials further mentioned that good governance is the only way to root out terrorism. They noted that the people of Balochistan have recognized terrorists who carry out attacks under the guise of slogans of deprivation.
Officials emphasized that the National Action Plan is also crucial to curb terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and recent meetings held in the province are encouraging. They cited Pakistan's unity in defeating India in Marka-e-Haq as an example of how the country will defeat terrorists.
Security officials observed that visits to educational institutions demonstrate that the Pakistani public, especially the youth, stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces like a steel wall. They stressed that no narrative can weaken the bond between the armed forces and the people, as the nation's focus remains solely on Pakistan.
They clarified that dialogue is the right of all political parties, and the military has nothing to do with politics. They added that all legal and court-related matters will be decided according to the constitution and the law of the land.
