Lahore: Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, has emphasized that the Assembly is a sacred institution for democratic forces and its security cannot be compromised. Addressing a press conference, he criticized PTI members for repeatedly disrupting proceedings, asserting that respect for the Assembly cannot be expected from those who disregard even holy places like Makkah and Madina.
According to Radio Pakistan, Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan noted that a Parliamentary Committee has submitted its report on the recent incident during the visit of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. This report will be forwarded to law enforcement agencies for further action. Despite clear instructions, armed convicts attempted to accompany the Chief Minister, leading to a clash with security staff at the gate.
