Dera ismail khan: Two Khwarij, including the notorious ringleader Dilawar, were neutralized in an intelligence-based operation in the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Security Forces initiated the operation based on reports of Khwarij presence in the region. During the operation, troops targeted the Khwarij location, resulting in the deaths of two terrorists, including the ringleader Dilawar.
Dilawar was highly sought after by law enforcement agencies for his role in multiple terrorist activities. The government had placed a bounty of four million rupees on him due to his notoriety.
In addition to neutralizing the terrorists, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the site. The Khwarij were actively involved in numerous attacks against security forces and the killing of civilians.
Sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining Khwarij supported by foreign entities in the area.
The counter-terrorism efforts, under the ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ initiative approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will persist with full intensity to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
