Karachi: The Sindh Building Control Authority has activated Rain Emergency Centers at its Karachi headquarters and all regional offices, including Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, and Larkana. These centers are set to operate around the clock, ensuring rapid response to any building-related emergencies stemming from the rains.
According to Radio Pakistan, the SBCA’s Committee on Dangerous Buildings has identified and declared seven hundred and forty buildings across the province as hazardous and uninhabitable, with five hundred and eighty-eight of these located in Karachi alone. In light of these findings, citizens are urged to report any visible structural flaws, signs of damage, or building-related emergencies during the rainy season.
