Islamabad: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Industries Haroon Akhtar Khan has stressed the need for modern mining technologies to enhance gemstone production and exports. He was chairing a meeting of the Prime Minister's Committee on Gemstone Policy in Islamabad on Friday. According to Radio Pakistan, Haroon Akhtar stated that value addition to gemstones could multiply export figures. He directed stakeholders to present a clear five-year export analysis for the gemstone sector.
