Moscow: Russia has once again criticized India’s participation in the four-nation military alliance ‘Quad’. Addressing the Eurasian Forum in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the issue has been raised with Indian counterparts, who explained that their participation is limited to trade and economy. However, Lavrov emphasized that the Quad countries are constantly trying to hold joint naval exercises.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Russian Foreign Minister criticized New Delhi’s involvement in front of a twelve-member delegation from India, which included three MPs from the BJP. Lavrov’s remarks highlight ongoing tensions regarding India’s role in the Quad, a group that includes the United States, Japan, and Australia alongside India.
