Reports of Forced Deportation of Pakistanis from UAE Baseless; NA Informed

Islamabad: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has clarified that there will be no new recruitment for the staff at the newly-constructed Islamabad prison. Instead, personnel from the Punjab Police, Islamabad Police, and the Capital Development Authority will be utilized to manage the prison's affairs, as mentioned during the Question Hour in the National Assembly today.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry addressed concerns regarding the alleged forced deportation of Pakistani nationals from the UAE and other Gulf countries. He categorically rejected these claims, stating that the government has no data supporting such reports. He emphasized that these allegations are unfounded and largely stem from misinformation spread on social media. The Minister also highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis to protect the rights and welfare of Pakistani nationals residing abroad.

In response to another inquiry, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry outlined the government's efforts to tackle issues like encroachments and land grabbing, which affect overseas Pakistanis. He mentioned that a series of institutional, legal, and administrative measures have been implemented to address these grievances effectively.

Additionally, Parliamentary Secretary for Power Aamir Talal Khan informed the assembly that Pakistan's renewable energy share is projected to reach 70 percent of the country's energy mix by 2030. He noted that the renewable energy targets set for the previous year have already been met.

On a separate note, Parliamentary Secretary for Health Nelson Azeem assured the members that government hospitals in the federal capital are equipped to provide necessary check-up and diagnostic facilities to patients. The National Assembly session was adjourned to reconvene tomorrow at 11 a.m.
