Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has expressed confidence that ongoing investment and economic reforms will set Pakistan on a fast track toward sustainable development. Talking to Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram in Islamabad, he emphasized Pakistan's focus on increasing productivity to expand exports. According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted the imperative for traders and industries to scale up their operations and contribute to the economy's growth. He pointed out that Pakistan has an advantage in terms of affordable labor, making the country an attractive destination for manufacturing and export-oriented businesses. Strategic measures aimed at enhancing Pakistan's exports and fostering economic growth were also discussed during the meeting. These discussions are seen as pivotal for setting the groundwork for future economic policies and initiatives that aim to leverage Pakistan's resources and strategic advantages in the global market.
