Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stated that the government is working rapidly to overcome challenges in the blue economy.
According to Radio Pakistan, while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of reforms in the Maritime Sector in Islamabad, he emphasized that the current administration has introduced several reforms aimed at advancing the Maritime Sector. The Prime Minister praised the Maritime Task Force for its dedication in formulating recommendations to enhance the sector, noting that access to maritime resources is crucial for global development.
Addressing the economic situation in the country, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring that the benefits of the recent significant drop in international oil prices reach the common people in Pakistan. He mentioned that the recent reduction in electricity prices is expected to provide substantial relief to the population and invigorate economic activities.
The Prime Minister further stated that the country has achieved macroeconomic stability, and the decrease in power tariffs will foster economic growth and enhance competitiveness.
