Islamabad: Rain, wind, and snowfall over mountains are expected in the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir during the next twelve hours. Cold and dry weather is likely to prevail in other parts of the country, with fog and smog expected to persist over the districts of eastern Punjab and upper Sindh.
According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature recorded in major cities this morning showed Islamabad at eleven degrees centigrade, Lahore twelve, Peshawar ten, Karachi sixteen, Quetta one, Murree two, Muzaffarabad seven, and Gilgit four degrees centigrade. The forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir predicts cloudy weather with chances of light rain and snow in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while cold and partly cloudy weather is expected in Jammu.
The morning temperatures in these areas were recorded as follows: Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian at two degrees centigrade, Jammu at eleven, Leh at minus five, and Pulwama and Baramula at one degree centigrade.
