Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar announced that Qatar has pledged to invest $3 billion in Pakistan's economy. This announcement came during a news conference held in Islamabad, where Tarar provided an overview of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's recent visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar. According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister stated that Qatar and Pakistan have agreed to enhance cooperation in sectors such as trade, investment, culture, and economy. The pledged investment is expected to bolster Pakistan's economic landscape. An exhibition showcasing Pakistani art and architecture was held in Doha, marking a significant development in the relationship between the two nations. Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude to the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, for his support and cooperation. Regarding the Prime Minister's visit to Saudi Arabia, Attaullah Tarar highlighted successful meetings with Saudi leadership, including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Saud i investments in Pakistan have increased by $600 million, reaching a total of $2.8 billion, indicating a strengthening bond between the two countries. During his visit, the Prime Minister also condemned the ongoing Israeli oppression against Palestinians.
