Lahore: Punjab Minister for Information Azma Bukhari says record development initiatives in the province during the outgoing year were unprecedented. Addressing a news conference in Lahore, she said development projects were completed at a fast pace, reflecting the government’s commitment to public welfare.
According to Radio Pakistan, Azma Bukhari highlighted that the law and order situation in Punjab is satisfactory, with a visible decline in crime and drug-related activities. She emphasized that drones, modern surveillance systems, vehicles, and advanced weapons have been inducted to strengthen security, particularly to counter criminal elements in riverine areas.
The Punjab Information Minister mentioned the ‘Suthra Punjab’ programme, which has significantly improved cleanliness across the province, earning appreciation from international media. She also noted that over 125,000 houses have been completed under the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ initiative.
