Islamabad: The Punjab government has stepped up pre-smog measures, with all relevant departments fully mobilized to curb air pollution across the province. In a statement issued in Lahore today, Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said water was sprinkled on 1,122 kilometers of roads in a single day, while 219 road shoulders were repaired to reduce dust and air pollution.

According to Radio Pakistan, these measures are part of a comprehensive strategy aimed at mitigating the impact of smog in the region. The government is taking proactive steps to ensure the health and safety of its residents, with all departments working in coordination to address the issue. The efforts to repair road shoulders and sprinkle water are targeted at minimizing dust, which is a significant contributor to air pollution.
