Punjab CM Sets Three Months Deadline for Bringing Reforms in Police Department

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has set a three months deadline for bringing reforms in the Police Department. Chairing a meeting in Lahore, she sought a comprehensive plan regarding Police reforms.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister launched two new initiatives: the Traffic Police One App and the Safe City Monitoring App. Maryam Nawaz emphasized that these developments aim to enhance public trust in the Police, ensuring that citizens can confidently seek help when needed.

The meeting led to several key decisions, including the installation of a Panic Button outside Police Stations to address public complaints. Another significant decision was made to implement video and audio recording of the investigation process to ensure transparency and accountability.

Additionally, the meeting resolved to introduce an Online FIR Tracking System across the province, allowing citizens to track the progress of their filed reports efficiently.
