Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif presided over a meeting in Lahore to review the mechanism for regularizing illegal housing societies. During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the removal of unnecessary NOCs required for the registration of housing societies.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting agreed to form a high-level committee for the regularization of illegal housing schemes and introduce a Housing Society Management System to digitize the housing sector. The meeting was informed that after uploading the required documents, NOC fees will also be payable online.

Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister of Punjab stated that issues of already existing schemes must be resolved as soon as possible according to the law so that the public can be given relief. She emphasized that housing schemes must be considered for a one-time amnesty according to the rules and regulations.
