Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has left for Brazil from Lahore to attend the COP 30 conference being held in Bel©m. During the conference, the Chief Minister will brief participants about flagship projects including initiatives for a Clean Punjab, e-mobility, and wildlife reforms in the province. She will also highlight the efforts of the Punjab government in climate-resilient regional leadership.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister’s participation in the COP 30 conference is seen as a significant opportunity for Punjab to showcase its environmental initiatives on a global platform. The focus will be on sharing the province’s strategies for sustainable development and engaging with international stakeholders to foster collaborative efforts in tackling climate change.
