Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched the ‘Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar’ scheme for shelter-less people in the province on Saturday. Addressing the ceremony in Lahore, she emphasized that it was her dream to provide shelter to the marginalized segment of society.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister stated that work for the welfare of the poor will be continued through different schemes. She announced that in the first phase of the initiative, 2,000 people will be given free plots to build their homes.
