Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the second phase of the ‘Clinics on Wheels’ project in Lahore today. The project is aimed at ensuring the provision of better healthcare facilities to the people at their doorsteps.
According to Radio Pakistan, over ten million patients have been treated through the 911 Clinics on Wheels across Punjab in just the last few months. Currently, the Clinics on Wheels project is providing free medical care to over 45,000 people daily across the province.
The Chief Minister stated that all the vehicles inaugurated today are fully air-conditioned and equipped with necessary requirements, operating like fully functional physical clinics with doctors and medical staff on board. A tracking system has been introduced to monitor the performance of mobile clinics to ensure their impact meets intended goals.
