Punjab CM Commits to Eradicating Polio in the Province


Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced a robust vaccination campaign targeting polio, measles, TB, hepatitis, tetanus, pneumonia, and other serious diseases throughout Punjab. This effort underscores the government’s dedication to improving public health and ensuring the well-being of its citizens.



According to Radio Pakistan, in her message coinciding with World Immunization Week, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif highlighted the critical importance of awareness, caution, and timely vaccination as the most effective weapons against these diseases. She called on parents across Punjab to ensure their children receive all necessary vaccinations, emphasizing the role of public cooperation in the success of the campaign.



In addition, the Chief Minister expressed her appreciation for the relentless efforts of health workers and vaccination teams from the Health Department. These teams have been working diligently to reach every household, ensuring that no child is left without protection.



Maryam Nawaz reiterated her government’s unwavering commitment to making Punjab a polio-free province, signaling a significant step forward in the fight against preventable diseases.
