Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that the government will provide complete support to farmers from crop cultivation until the sale of their produce. Under the second phase of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Tractor Program, the distribution of ten thousand tractors is currently underway through a balloting process.
According to Radio Pakistan, the third phase of the scheme is set to commence next month. Applications will soon be invited from farmers to provide tractors with a horsepower capacity of 50 to 55. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized that the initiative aims to achieve economic self-reliance and enhance production growth among farmers in Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz further stated that the Punjab Government is committed to supporting farmers at every stage, from cultivation to sale. She highlighted that the provision of modern agricultural machinery is a crucial step toward making Punjab self-reliant in farming.
