Punjab all set to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day

Like other parts of the country, all preparations are set in Punjab to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day with traditional zeal and fervor.

Acting upon directives from the caretaker Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, the Independence Day festivities are set to be marked with a blend of grandeur and patriotic fervor, as extensive plans have been finalized for Punjab's jubilant observance.

Today at Greater Iqbal Park and Lahore Development Authority City, a vibrant display of fireworks is scheduled to illuminate the skies. Simultaneously, on the morning of August 14, flag-hoisting ceremonies will be held in unison across all divisional and district headquarters throughout Punjab.

The main event organized by the Punjab government to mark the Independence anniversary of Pakistan is scheduled for tomorrow at Huzuri Bagh.

Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi will grace the occasion as the chief guest.

On the evening of August 14, national songs and anthems will be presented to the public in special events where renowned singers will perform.

All government and private buildings including Radio Pakistan Lahore, Rescue 1122 Headquarters have been lit up across the province.

The national flag has been displayed on prominent places in all cities.

Famous singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will perform his art in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Meanwhile, the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, has revealed his intentions to erect the most towering and largest national flag at Liberty Chowk.
