Nowshehra: Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) for engaging in what he described as the “politics of Tik-tok,” alleging that the party is utilizing social media strategies to garner likes and popularity.
According to Radio Pakistan, Attaullah Tarar made these remarks while speaking to media personnel in Nowshehra. He was there to offer condolences to PML-N leader Ikhtiar Wali Khan on the passing of his mother.
Tarar highlighted that the primary duty of a Chief Minister is to serve the public. However, he accused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister of squandering time by organizing sit-ins to demand a meeting with the PTI founder, who is currently incarcerated.
The PTI founder, according to Tarar, is in jail due to a proven mega corruption case. In response to a query, Tarar clarified that the PTI leader is not a political prisoner, yet he is being afforded facilities in jail that surpass those typically available to political leaders.
Tarar urged PTI leaders to cease what he called false propaganda, emphasizing that an anti-Pakistan narrative is detrimental to all involved.
