Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Dushanbe for Bilateral Talks


Dushanbe: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Dushanbe on a two-day visit to Tajikistan. At Dushanbe Airport, he was welcomed by Tajik Prime Minister Kokhir Rasulzoda, Deputy Foreign Minister Sharifzoda Farrukh Homiddin, Tajik Ambassador to Pakistan Yusuf Sharifzoda, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan Muhammad Saeed Sarwar. Accompanying the Prime Minister are Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi.



According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will meet with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon during his visit. The meeting will focus on enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan across various sectors. The Prime Minister is expected to express his gratitude to the Tajik President for Tajikistan’s support to Pakistan during recent tensions in the South Asian region involving India.



The Prime Minister will also attend the International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation-2025. At the conference, he will discuss the impacts of climate change on Pakistan and emphasize Pakistan’s commitment to climate change mitigation and glacier preservation.
