Tianjin: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Tianjin, China, where he is set to participate in several high-level engagements. At Tianjin Airport, he was welcomed by dignitaries including Sun Meijun, Minister and Secretary of the CPC Committee of the General Administration of Customs of China, Yu Yunlin, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Congress and Party Secretary, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zedong, and Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, and the Prime Minister’s Adviser Tariq Fatemi. In addition to attending the 25th SCO Council of Heads of State Meeting in Tianjin, he will also participate in the 80th anniversary of the victory in the World’s Anti-Fascist War in Beijing.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will hold meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang to discuss various aspects of Pakistan-China bilateral cooperation. He is also scheduled to engage with prominent Chinese businessmen and corporate executives to discuss enhancing bilateral trade, economic, and investment ties.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Sharif will address the Pakistan-China B2B Investment Conference, aiming to explore new opportunities to bolster trade and investment relations between the two nations. He will also interact with leaders from other countries participating in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.
