Najaf: President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has arrived in Najaf. At the airport, Governor Najaf Yousuf Makki Kanawi received the President and discussed with him matters of mutual interest.

According to Radio Pakistan, the visit to Najaf is part of President Zardari’s official trip to Iraq. The discussions with Governor Kanawi are expected to cover various topics of bilateral importance. President Zardari’s visit is seen as a step towards strengthening diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Iraq.
