Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the importance of working together for the country’s development and prosperity. He addressed leaders and workers of the Pakistan Peoples Party in Islamabad during the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari highlighted that agriculture is the foundation of the country’s economy and stressed the need to develop the nation based on this sector. He advocated for building the country’s economy on strong foundations to make it self-reliant.
President Zardari noted that Pakistan has significant potential for development and suggested that the government can drive economic progress by supporting farmers. He also expressed concern over the rising extremism in India, pointing out the prejudice and oppression faced by minorities, particularly Muslims and Christians. He warned that India’s extremist Hindutva mindset poses serious threats to the entire region and emphasized the deep historical, religious, and cultural roots of Muslims in the Subcontinent.
On this occasion, the President extended Eid-ul-Adha greetings to party workers and acknowledged their unwavering support during challenging times, referring to them as the strength of the party.
