Dera ismail khan: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned the terrorist attack by Fitna-al-Khwarij on the Police Training Center in Dera Ismail Khan. In their separate statements, they said such cowardly acts of terrorists cannot shake the nation’s resolve against terrorism.
According to Radio Pakistan, both the leaders also paid tribute to seven policemen, who were martyred while bravely fighting against Khawarij terrorists. They also prayed for the high ranks of the martyrs and expressed condolences with the bereaved families.
President Asif Ali Zardari said the nation and security forces will remain united until terrorism is completely stamped out. He said brave personnel set a great example by sacrificing their lives to protect the homeland. He also appreciated the timely and courageous action of the police and security forces.
In his statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the attack and directed to provide them with all possible medical assistance. The Prime Minister said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has always been on the frontline in the fight against terrorism.
Shehbaz Sharif expressed the government’s resolve to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country. He said such kind of cowardly acts by the terrorists cannot shake our unwavering resolve against terrorism.
