Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid tribute to the martyrs of Marka-e-Haq, saluting the families of those who sacrificed their lives for the nation. In their separate statements today, they expressed that the entire nation honors the brave members of the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force who laid down their lives for the security of the motherland.
According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the impact of “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos,” emphasizing how the Pakistani Armed Forces dismantled India’s perception of superior numerical strength and arrogance. He praised the valiant officers and soldiers for fulfilling their promise to protect the nation.
The Prime Minister also expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of forty innocent civilians, including fifteen children and seven women, due to Indian aggression. He reiterated the commitment of the armed forces to safeguard the nation against any threats.
President Asif Ali Zardari echoed these sentiments, stating that Pakistan’s forces successfully shattered the enemy’s arrogance through the operation. He emphasized that India’s blatant aggression has only served to further unite and strengthen the people of Pakistan. Zardari also expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives, including those of children and women, during the Indian attacks.
