Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of the officer and soldier of Pakistan Army in the snow clearance operation at Burzil Pass. In their separate statements, they paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyr Captain Asmad, Sepoy Rizwan, and Machine Operator Essa.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President and Prime Minister highlighted that these martyrs are pride of the nation who performed their duties despite difficult circumstances without caring for their own lives. The leaders acknowledged the bravery and dedication of the fallen personnel, emphasizing the significance of their service to the country.

The President and Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the martyrs and commiserated with their bereaved families. They extended their heartfelt condolences, recognizing the profound impact of the loss on the families and the nation as a whole.
