Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have conveyed their heartfelt felicitations to the government and people of Turkiye on the 102nd Republic Day of Turkiye.
According to Radio Pakistan, in his message, the President highlighted that this day marks a defining moment in world history when the resilient Turkish nation, guided by the visionary leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatrk, embarked on a path of reform, progress, and renewal. He noted that the courage and determination with which the people of Turkiye shaped their destiny continue to inspire generations around the world. He also mentioned that Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah praised the heroic leadership of the people of Turkiye in the establishment of the Republic and the revolutionary reforms that made Turkiye an enviable nation in the comity of nations.
President Zardari remarked that Turkiye holds a special place in the hearts of Pakistanis, emphasizing the deep-rooted bonds between the two nations, anchored in shared history, faith, and mutual respect. He reiterated that both countries have stood together, unshaken and rock solid in every difficult hour. Furthermore, he expressed confidence that the institutional relationship with Turkiye in all spheres of life remains strong and vibrant, and it will develop exponentially as both nations march forward.
In his message on X handle, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged Turkiye’s remarkable transformation and economic resurgence over the decades under the leadership of President Erdogan, which has earned global admiration. He stated that Pakistan takes great pride in the accomplishments of its Turkish brothers and remains their steadfast partner in this journey of progress.
Prime Minister Sharif noted that Pakistan and Turkiye are united by bonds of faith, history, and fraternity that transcend geography and time. He emphasized that the relationship has entered a new era of strategic partnership under the guidance of President Erdogan, as both countries strive together to unlock the vast potential of their time-tested and enduring ties in all areas of shared interest.
