Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended heartfelt greetings to the Hindu community in Pakistan on the occasion of the Diwali festival. In their messages, both leaders emphasized the importance of unity and equal rights for all citizens.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Asif Ali Zardari highlighted that the festival of Diwali symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. He further reiterated that the Constitution of Pakistan ensures equal rights and complete freedom of religion to all citizens. The President also mentioned that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah envisioned a nation where minorities would enjoy equal rights and opportunities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, reaffirmed his government’s dedication to providing equal rights and opportunities for progress to all communities, regardless of their beliefs.
