According to Radio Pakistan, the President reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity at this difficult time in a message of condolence to Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people. Asif Ali Zardari said the minds and hearts of all Pakistanis are with the families affected by this tragic incident.

He expressed the hope that rescue efforts will bring relief to those trapped and that the injured will recover soon.
