Peshawar: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have expressed their firm resolve to continue the war against the menace of terrorism until its complete elimination. In their separate messages in connection with the anniversary of the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar attack, they paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the little martyrs of the APS massacre.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari reiterated that Pakistan’s commitment to defeat terrorism is absolute, leaving no room for terrorists or those who support, finance, shelter, or justify them. He emphasized that the nation will always honor the resilience of the APS families, who have transformed their grief into a source of strength for Pakistan. He also highlighted the documented evidence of Indian involvement in efforts to destabilize Pakistan and affirmed that Pakistan will continue to expose these hostile activities while defending its people with full resolve.
In his message on his X handler, Prime Minister Sharif stated that the nation will always stand united, firm, and unwavering in its resolve to eradicate the scourge of terrorism. He stressed that the sacrifice of innocent children, teachers, and staff in this tragedy is forever etched in the national conscience and serves as a constant reminder of the collective responsibility to defeat terrorism. The Prime Minister also prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the martyrs the highest ranks in Jannat-ul-Firdous and patience to their families.
