Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the security forces for thwarting an infiltration attempt at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan.

According to Radio Pakistan, in their separate statements, the President and Prime Minister appreciated the security forces for eliminating eight Khawarij during the operation. President Asif Ali Zardari reiterated the commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces to safeguard the country’s geographical boundaries. He stated that operations against militants will persist until terrorism is entirely eradicated, emphasizing that the entire nation stands united with the security forces in this battle against terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif acknowledged the relentless efforts of the officers and personnel of Pakistan’s armed forces, who are working continuously to prevent any hostile attempts along the nation’s borders.
