President and PM Call for National Resilience as Shared Responsibility

Islamabad:President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have called upon all institutions, communities, and citizens to view resilience as a collective national duty.

According to Radio Pakistan, in their individual messages for National Resilience Day, they emphasized the importance of shifting from merely reacting to emergencies to proactively anticipating risks. This approach should be informed by scientific knowledge, reliable data, and emerging technologies.

National Resilience Day is observed annually to commemorate the victims of the catastrophic 2005 earthquake and to promote disaster preparedness across the nation.
