‘Precision Agriculture’ Project Launched to Introduce Climate Sustainable Agricultural Practices

Islamabad: Under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the ‘Precision Agriculture’ project has been launched to introduce climate sustainable agricultural practices. This initiative aims to leverage modern technology to enhance agricultural productivity while addressing climate change challenges.

According to Radio Pakistan, the project will be implemented with the assistance of the “Green Climate Fund.” This fund, as per the United Nations Climate Framework, provides financial support to developing countries to help them manage the impacts of climate change effectively.

Under the project’s framework, a ‘Radiance Action Plan’ has been developed, targeting the initial reduction of climate impacts through modern agricultural techniques in Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan. The Special Investment Facilitation Council is dedicated to improving agricultural production and ensuring that the agriculture sector becomes more climate sustainable through the use of advanced technologies.
