Gilgit: Pakistan Peoples Party's Imran Nadeem has been elected unopposed as Speaker of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly. Outgoing Speaker Nazir Ahmed administered the oath to him.

According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's Malik Kifayat-ur-Rehman has been elected unopposed as the Deputy Speaker of the Assembly and was administered the oath by Speaker Imran Nadeem.

The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly session was held today under the chairmanship of Nazir Ahmed Advocate in Gilgit. At the outset, Speaker Nazir Ahmed administered the oath to the newly elected members of the Assembly and congratulated them.
